A little time travel ditty I've been playing with called The Black Knight of Gray Cross:
“Adam, I’m here, round the back!”
There was thud and a cry of pain. Blast Adam and his drinking. But
his head soon appeared over the edge of the murder hole.
“Alice,” he said with a surprised gasp. “You’ve fallen down a
bloody hole.”
She would have laughed had
the situation not been so dire but her grip slipped and suddenly she was falling,
fully expecting to meet an awful death on the ancient cobbled river ramp. www.wewriwa.com
Poor Alice! Hope she gets rescued by Adam. "Cobbled river ramp" - great desciption.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, can't wait for what's next, love your heroine being name Alice. Terrific snippet!
ReplyDeleteIndia, what an interesting snippet. I'll tune in next week.
ReplyDeleteWow. I hope she doesn't fall and meet that awful death.

Wow, India, this one sort of sneaks up on a person and then...wham! Excellent! I'd play around with it some more. :-) Great eight!
ReplyDeleteI love the term "murder hole," as well as Adam's stating the obvious.
